Little Woman loves to help me in the kitchen. I decided to make her holiday extra special and let her prepare and deliver some treats for friends. She made a list of people she wanted to bless and my three year old and I whipped up some 'old school' shortbread. It is a Scottish shortbread with barley flour so it has a caramel kinda nutty taste twist... some ended up over cooked but it is the thought... right?Anyhow, we had great fun wrapping them in plastic wrap and tying them up with Christmas yarn. Delivering was even more fun. She insisted on holding the packages and handing them over with a big 'MERRY CHRISTMAS'! Priceless stuff! Little Woman almost made it to the end of our delivery route but I ended up handing over the last bag while she napped. It was such lovely fun we will have to do it again next year.
On the way home a little voice asked from the back seat 'Mama, can we do dishes when we get home?' OH MY, a girl after my own heart!
